Fisher Price Little People Nativity - Get Ready For Christmas
Christmas time always seems to catch me by surprise each year, trying to remember where we put the tree and if we find that we usually can't locate the lights or we forgot that they were broken and we needed to buy replacements. Last year most of the ornaments fell victim to an active toddler and his big brother, or was it the cat?
So this year I have decided to do some research into an unbreakable Christmas! Think we will go with plastic plates, handmade paper decorations for the tree (definitely no glass baubles) and definitely no Santa Express trains for the cat to chase around the tree. Last Christmas we re-discovered the delights and diversity of Fisher Price toys when our second son received a Fisher Price Noah's Ark for one of his gifts. He was only one and a half years old yet it has become a firm favourite. Out of curiosity I wondered if Fisher Price did a Christmas or nativity range and was not disappointed with a recent search on Amazon.
I have discovered that a Fisher Price Christmas comes in the form of various nativity sets, 3 wise men sets complete with camels, the Inn at Bethlehem and even replacement baby Jesus figures and camels (Fisher Price know kids). The nativity sets have everything required to set up a beautiful nativity display at kid height that they can actually play with and interact. The sets will make a valuable tool for explaining the true meaning of Christmas celebrations this year with our young ones...and guess what - there is even a miniature nativity scene that you can hang up on your tree!
My pick will likely be the Fisher Price Little People Huge Nativity Gift Set which is a complete 3-in-1 collection including the Nativity Set, The Three Wise Men and The Inn at Bethlehem. Beautifully illustrated background scenes and palm trees let kids connect the desert journey of the wise men, the story of the inn at Bethlehem, and Jesus' birth in a stable under the starry night sky. There is an angel for placing on top of the stable. The star lights up to guide the wise men from afar while the tune "Away in a Manger" plays for all who gather below. Batteries are required and the sets are suitable for children aged 1 year and up.
The Nativity set includes Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus figures, angel, two shepherds, two sheep, sheep dog, cow, donkey, donkey cart with food and hay bale.
